Dingbat Technology is Microsoft certified in SQL Server 2000. We have experience working with SQL Server since version 6, supporting mission critical databases. We provide the following services for SQL Server:- General Administration - backups, database maintenance plans, monitoring
- Database Design - including constraints, keys and relationships
- Security and user setup
- Performance tuning
- Replication between multiple sites (including central SQL to remote MSDE databases)
- Transact SQL programming - queries, stored procedures, and triggers
- Consulting and setup advice

| Many data-driven applications are now using MSDE as their engine. Microsoft Desktop database Engine is based on SQL, but with some limits imposed. MSDE does not include any management tools, so you must rely on your application to backup the SQL databases. MSDE limits database sizes to 2GB, and slows down when more then 5 users connect. For these reasons, we recommend any small business that has MSDE applications uses Small Business Server Premium to run the full SQL Server application. As the engine behind both database products is the same, this transition process is very easy. You can then enjoy the full performance, size and administration tools of SQL Server. |
